About Rochester Public Music
Rochester Public Music brings people together through concerts, cultural programs, and music education. Our events are free and public by design.
We turn parks into concert venues, bring artists into classrooms, and share music across neighborhoods. Our work is rooted in shared experience, local connection, and the belief that music belongs to everyone.

Our Programs
- FORWARD Park Concerts: Free summer concerts in Rochester parks. Local bands, local food, and space for everyone to gather.
- Riverside Music Series: Live music. Big names. No tickets. Large-scale concerts featuring chart-topping acts and rising stars.
- Sound School: In-school residencies where students explore rhythm, movement, and musical identity — from hip hop and taiko drumming to close-harmony singing.
- Passport Sessions: Free outdoor concerts during Thursdays Downtown, celebrating culture and connection through sound.

PETTY FEVER - is a Multi-Award Winning full production tribute to TOM PETTY & The Heartbreakers, featuring the captivating Guitarist/Vocalist and 2016 Hollywood FAME Award Winner, FRANK MURRAY.
They deliver an amazing and memorable salute to the Musical Legacy of Tom Petty, performing over four decades of classic Tom Petty hits such as American Girl, Free Falling, Breakdown, Running Down a Dream, I Won’t Back Down and many more. Petty Fever is the recipient of multiple entertainment awards which include; Las Vegas FAME Awards 2017 “Outstanding Tribute Band” & 2018 “Outstanding International Tribute Band” presented at Hard Rock Café Live in Las Vegas, NV USA and 2013 & 2014 Los Angeles Music Awards "Tribute Band of The Year" presented at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, CA USA.
Founded in Portland, OR USA in January 2009, Petty Fever features a talented lineup of top NW veteran musicians, all with a common passion for the music of Tom Petty. They have been performing to enthusiastic all age audiences worldwide ever since.
