The City of Rochester will hold special dedication ceremony honoring Indigenous communities at the confluence area of Silver Lake Park.

This newly completed site, named Wak Pa Wazi Ozu, meaning "pine tree planted river", the original name of the Zumbro River, will serve as a place of ceremony, remembrance, community gathering and meditation. It stands as a tribute to the deep cultural and historical significance of this land.
