Agenda Item 1

Approve minutes from the February 1, 2016, annual meeting. 

Agenda Item 2

Kati Carpenter Termination Hearing. See Chief Peterson’s memo dated April 5, 2016, recommending termination of a Community Service Officer.  This hearing is being held pursuant to Police Civil Service Rule 25 and the Veteran’s Preference Act. 

Agenda Item 3

Review and approve completed background investigations for twelve (12) Police Officer candidates. 

Agenda Item 4

Review and approve completed background investigations for eight (8) Community Service Officer candidates. 

Agenda Item 5

Certification of Community Service Officer Eligibility Register for a period not to exceed two years. 

Agenda Item 6

Certification of Police Officer Eligibility Register.  This is an ongoing register where candidates may remain on the list for not more than one year. 

Agenda Item 7

Approve the request from Chief Peterson to provide the Mayor with a list of the top ranked candidates from the current Police Officer eligibility list for selection and appointment of six (6) fulltime entry-level positions, effective May 26, 2016, due to the retirements and new budgeted positions.  

Agenda Item 8

Approve the request from Chief Peterson to provide the Mayor with a list of the top ranked candidates from the current Community Service Officer eligibility list for selection and appointment of four (4) part-time entry-level positions, effective May 26, 2016.
