Tree Steward Training - Evening Class (2 Wednesdays) - Part 1

Volunteer to improve your Community Forest

  • Introduction: The City of Rochester has received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to get more trees planted and we need your help.

The City of Rochester has received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to get more trees planted, but we need your help watering, small tree pruning, and monitoring their health. In this two year project we will schedule planting events, where we will need a number of volunteers, just for the day, to help get trees planted, mulched, and watered. You can also become a Tree Steward and get more involved by helping to maintain these newly planted trees and ensure they survive for generations to come. As a Tree Steward you’ll learn how to prune, plant, and monitor the health of newly planted trees.
Rochester’s upcoming events are:

Tree Steward Training: Sept. 21st & 28th from 5pm - 9 pm at Silver Lake Station, 702 W Silver Lake Drive NE

Pruning Training: Sept. 29th from 5 pm - 8 pm at Silver Lake Station, 702 W Silver Lake Drive NE

Tree Planting Event October 15th at TBD
