Public Hearing - Route 19 Changes

Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of Rochester will hold a public hearing at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center to consider the following changes to Rochester Public Transit bus service within the City of Rochester.

Proposed Changes

Route 19 would be removed from its recent long-term detour and implemented as a hybrid of this detour route and its original route before the detour. The route would continue to serve areas west of US-52 including: 55th Street NW, Fairway Drive NW, Savannah Drive NW, 50th Ave NW, 51st Street NW, Castleview Dr NW, King Arthur Dr NW, Kingsbury Dr NW, 56th Ave NW; 57 Ave NW, 44 Ave NW; and 55 St NW.

Proposed maps and schedules of the proposed bus routes can be viewed at www.rptride.com or viewed at the offices of Rochester Public Transit located at 4300 East River Road NE, Rochester, MN 55906. 

It is proposed that if the changes are approved the above described changes would go into effect February 5, 2018. Further information regarding these proposed changes can be obtained on the City’s public transit website (as noted above) or by contacting the Department of Public Works/ Transit and Parking Division (507-328-2485). Accessible formats of the information will be provided upon request. At the hearing opportunity will be provided for individuals to comment. Comments can also be submitted in writing prior to the hearing to the address above or emailed to blaw@rochestermn.gov.
