16th Annual Arbor Day Celebration

What: 16th Annual Arbor Day Celebration - sponsored by Rochester Public Utilities, Maier Tree & Lawn, and Rochester Parks & Recreation. 


When: Friday, April 27th from 11 am-1 pm


Where: Three Links-Silver Lake Park, located at 840 7th St NE in Rochester. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to RCTC’s Field House located at 851 30th Ave SE in Rochester.


Festivities: Free trees to give away, live music, free lunch (hot dogs, corn on the cob, chips, cookie, and soda), tree experts on hand, Smokey Bear, balloonists, magician, games and activities, poster contest ceremony, and much more!  


Participants: RPU, Maier Tree & Lawn, Rochester Park & Recreation, Hy-Vee, Minnesota Energy Resources, Jim Whiting Nursery & Garden Center, Sargent’s Gardens, Seneca Foods, Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, Minnesota Children's Museum Rochester, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Olmsted County Environmental Resources, Olmsted Soil & Water Conservation District, Quarry Hill Nature Center, Rochester Art Center, Rochester Public Library, Rochester Public Works, Saint Mary's University-Cascade Meadow,  and Zumbro Valley Audubon.

Rochester Public Utilities, with partners Maier Tree & Lawn and Rochester Parks & Recreation, will hold their 16th Annual Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 27th. Come join in the celebration at Three Links-Silver Lake Park, located at 840 7th St NE in Rochester, with live music by Paul Mayasich and his band, Real American Made Music, free trees, and free lunch! Smokey Bear, clowns, balloonists, magician, games, information on tree planting, and many more family activities will be will be taking place. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to RCTC’s Field House located at 851 30th Ave SE in Rochester.
