Call to order 

Agenda Item 1

Approve minutes from the February 28, 2019, Annual meeting.

Agenda Item 2

Review and approve background investigations for 6 Police Officer candidates. 

Agenda Item 3

Certification of the Police Officer Eligibility Register.  The candidate names will remain on the list for not more than 1 year.

Agenda Item 4

Approve the request from Chief Franklin, dated March 18, 2019, for the Mayor to select the following, utilizing the “Rule of Three”: 

  • 1 Captain
  • 2 Lieutenants
  • 3 Sergeants
  • 1 Police Officer

This request is due to retirements, resignations, promotions and the approval of a 4th Captain.    

The tentative starting date for all of the positions is April 11, 2019, exception of the 3rd Sergeant which will start on June 6, 2019. The Police Officer appointment is contingent upon approval of their background investigation as well as passing the medical and psychological evaluations.
