Call to order
Annual Meeting: Rule 2 of the Police Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations provide that the Commission shall hold a regular meeting in February of each year.
Agenda Item 1
Approve minutes from the January 23, 2020, meeting.
Agenda Item 2
Election of Secretary: Rule 1 of the Police Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations provide for the elective officers of President and a Secretary and that the election of each officer shall take place annually at the time and place of the regular February meeting of the Commission; and Minnesota Statutes Section 419.02, Subdivision 1, provides that each Commission member shall be President in their third year. Based on appointment dates, Commissioner Johnson will become President at the expiration of President Sire’s term which expires on 4/30/2020.
Agenda Item 3
Approve a revised copy of the Police Sergeant Eligibility Register for a period not to exceed 18 months. A data entry error was discovered which resulted in a slight change to the rank requiring a new list to be certified. The revised Eligibility Register will replace the Eligibility Register approved in January. Copies of both registers are attached for comparison.
