Rochester Police Department (RPD) and Rochester Fire Department (RFD) are seeking the community’s help in an arson investigation.

The investigation into a fire at Peace United Church of Christ (1503 2^nd Ave NE) indicated that the fire was a result of arson. Fire crews were dispatched to the fire around 2 a.m. on April 18. The church suffered extensive damage, exceeding $2.5 million.

RPD and RFD are asking anyone with information about the arson to please come forward. Tips can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or the Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020. Information leading to the identification of the person(s) responsible are eligible for a reward.
