New Parking System for Rochester Going Into Effect March 20, 2023
Beginning March 20, 2023, the City of Rochester’s Parking Enforcement and Residential Parking Permit programs will transition to a new service provider called IPS Group. The change in provider will offer a better user experience for those accessing either system.

Elton Hills Drive Bridge to reopen
Construction on the Elton Hills Drive Bridge project is nearing completion, and the bridge is expected to reopen to the traveling public the week of August 8, 2022.

Fog sealing of various bike paths
Public Works Street Maintenance will be fog sealing various recreational trails as part of the annual recreational trail maintenance program. This work will occur July 25-29, 2002, weather permitting.

Political signs are not permitted in the Right-of-Way
Campaign signs are not allowed to be placed on city road Right-of-Way under state law. In most cases where sidewalks are present, City Right-of-Way extends to at least the edge of the sidewalk closest to private property – this includes the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street.

Construction to begin on 9 Street SE RPU Duct Bank / Street Reconstruction Project
Phase 1 of the 9 Street SE Duct Bank Project will begin on July 5, 2022. Construction will move west to east along 9 Street SE from Broadway Avenue South to 3 Avenue SE in 2022.
